The Drum names Ozone Digital Advertising Sales Team of the Year

The Drum Award for Digital Advertising has named Ozone ‘Digital Advertising Sales Team of the Year’ for 2023

We are delighted to have been named ‘Digital Advertising Sales Team of the Year’ at the 2023 Drum Awards for Digital Advertising.

The win celebrates not only our hugely talented front office commercial team but recognises the contribution of every single team across Ozone – from product, engineering and data, ad operations and trading, and publisher services. Without the collective team effort delivering campaigns across the Ozone platform, the hustle and hard-work of the commercial team would have no end product. Congratulations team.

At the same awards, Ozone Smart Bidstream, our multi-award winning publisher technology, was also highly commended in the Game-Changing Technology category.

It caps another remarkable year of recognition from the industry during which Ozone has picked up major honours at the Media Leaders Awards, The Drum Online Media Awards and the AOP Digital Publishing Awards, the Manchester Publicity Awards and The Wires Awards.

Ozone – (Still) Simply Premium

2023 marks the fifth anniversary of Ozone’s launch, when four competitor publishers came together in a historic collaboration to build a better future for the premium web. Since then, the Ozone team has built a business from scratch, forged deep relationships with advertisers and publishers, all while delivering brilliant results for all. And while the five year story is impressive, the last twelve months have delivered our best results yet, thanks to the togetherness, expertise, innovation and resilience of our team.

In the past year, Ozone’s revenue delivery was up +42%, far outpacing the growth in both the online display and total media categories. The number of advertisers spending six-figure sums more than doubled, while on average retained clients were investing +115% more. This was accompanied by a +40% growth in UK publisher numbers as our premium portfolio diversified, while international publisher SaaS partnerships now account for half of all relationships.

The impact of Ozone’s team dynamics have been critical drivers of this success; the way we innovated to develop new advertiser and publisher products with our customers, how we super-served clients with benchmark-beating performance, and how we focused on making a difference through our inclusion and sustainability programmes. It’s no surprise that in a year we were named as one of Campaign’s Best Places to Work, that our employer NPS increased by 16 points to 46.
